FOTD: SUMMER EDITION
Even though the weather has been more like January this summer I thought I'd share some of the products I've been using non stop over the last month or so. When it comes to my base and eyebrows I don't really change it up seasonally, I like to stick to the same things. However, in the summer months I love to play around with lip products and highlighters.
I've loved doing an everyday dewy look that I can mix up with either a lip colour or eyeliner for the evening. Recently I've been using The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer to give me that summer glow with my contour. If you know me, you know that I love my highlighters and probably would wear enough that you could see it from space. So the Mary Lou-Manzier is a great addition to my collection. The subtle glow from within look is prefect for the day but still buildable for a more intense evening highlight.
After my base I just pop on a light layer of mascara and fill in my brows. I personally don't have full luscious lashes so I've loved using the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes mascara to give me extra volume and length. I'm literally obsessed with this one at the moment, it's not clumpy and doesn't transfer throughout the day. Love it!
Then to finish the look off I fill in my lips using the Kylie Jenner LipKit lipliner in CandyK. I know her lip kits have had mixed reviews however, the lipliners are so creamy and go on like butter! I love how pigmented they are, that you can wear them on their own or with the matching liquid lipstick or just clear gloss. Just wearing the lipliner has been the prefect combo to my everyday look this past month. It's super low-maintence and because the stay power is long-lasing I find I'm not replying as often.
After that if I find my lips are a little dry throughout the day I've been using a new beauty favourite of mine, which is the NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Creme in Stockholm. OMG these are so worth the hype! The formula and texture are amazing, they're really creamy and non drying what so ever. The consistency is nice and light which makes it perfect to wear in the day as it's more moisturising.
Overall this past month I've kept my everyday makeup routine fairly simple with the colours and finishes. I've loved wearing the peachy toned nudes however, I can't wait to start wearing deeper toned colours and reds for the autumn.
